Data across the Czech Republic: we have provided a complete turnkey branch interconnection service

We participated in a project where the owner of a recruitment agency needed help connecting branches of his company, which are located in Prague, Brno and Hradec Králové, with a central office in Karlovy Vary. That's why it was necessary to ensure high-quality transmission of large amounts of customised data and to ensure a suitable connection for the central office itself.

A company, such as a recruitment agency, that has multiple branches works with a large amount of data on a daily basis . It must be able to move it quickly and in high quality between branches and central office. The agency, therefore, provided synchronised software, which has the disadvantage of generating a large amount of data sent within one VPN. As such, regular service and perfect settings are required when using this transmission method. The agency was providing this service itself but decided to hand over the work to someone else.

How did we help?

  • we provided a complete service connecting the central office with branches

  • we set up a network connection

  • we connected branches and central office using an IP VPN

  • at central office, connectivity and a microwave link were established

  • DSL was introduced at branches

We prepared proposals for a new solution for the agency. DSL itself was established as connectivity and an IP VPN was chosen instead of a VPN. Deciding between these options required consideration of what we expected from this interconnection. In the case of choosing between VPN and IP VPN, we can see pros and cons in both cases.

A VPN offers access from anywhere in the world. However, you must have good security and software that generates a large amount of data because it transmits it encrypted. All this requires regular maintenance. An IP VPN, on the other hand, does not require software, a licence or other regular maintenance. But it does not offer the possibility of connecting from anywhere in the world. However, the business owner did not need that.

After submitting the proposal, they decided on an IP VPN, and so a connection was subsequently set up. In the case of simply connecting branches, there is no need for a remote connection from anywhere in the world. In addition, there was not a large price difference, so in this case the IP VPN was ideal and very easy to set up. Ordinary DSL was also added to the branches, and connectivity and a microwave link were added to the central office.
